About Us
Our Mission and Vision
ACUMUN is a dynamic, student-run organization dedicated to fostering global awareness, diplomatic skills, and leadership qualities among young individuals. Established with a mission to restore the Karachi and Pakistani MUN Circuit to its original glory, ACUMUN provides a platform for students to engage in rigorous debates, develop resolutions, and explore complex international issues. The society organizes both and innovative training conference and competitive conferences, catering to a wide range of students and offering unique educational experiences for all.
This year, ACUMUN will be hosted by Haque Academy, in DHA Phase 8, Karachi.
Why we started ACUMUN
ACUMUN was founded on the core values that primarily revolve around restoring the Model UN Circuit to a academically challenging, equitable and accessible experience we all have seen decline over the past few years. We aim to provide equitable access to high quality learning materials and conferences to help develop our delegates, regardless of their socio-economic statuses.
Note from the President
Being a part of the Model UN Circuit since 2018, I have seen my fair share of “good times” in the Circuit, experiencing and enjoying top-notch coaches, Committee Directors and high academic standards. As time progressed, our seniors ingrained these values of quality and merit into us, but as I looked around, I saw a handful of individuals standing besides me to pass the knowledge and experiences that we gained, to the next generation.
That is why I created ACUMUN, over 2 years ago, and ever since I have been ideating and working towards the day we host our own delegates. We prioritise academic merit above all, and are working on designing a hollistic Model UN Curriculum to completely redesign the way we connect learnings from Model UNs in our daily lives.
